"Jireh" (Genesis 22:14 meaning)

Jehovah Jireh (Jehovah [God] – Jireh means “will see” or “provide”) reveals that God already saw the need before it existed. He sees the need and has the solution before the problem, trial, hurt, or pain even occurs. God made the provision before the need ever existed!

Founders’ story (RJ & Charinette)

Jireh was not built from a plan—it was born from real moments where people needed help, and we simply said yes. Seven years ago, everything began with a conversation.

My wife, Charinette—a nurse practitioner—was approached by a close friend who was being emotionally abused by her boyfriend, someone within the church. She didn’t fully realize the manipulation she was under, nor that he was involved with other women. She wanted to leave, but fear held her back. She didn’t know how to hold him accountable or even where to begin. In that moment, Charinette stepped in—not just as a professional, but as someone who cared deeply. She walked with her step by step, helping her find clarity, courage, and the right support to safely get out and pursue accountability for the abuse. That experience opened our eyes.

We began to see how many people were silently suffering confused, afraid, and unsure where to turn even in spaces that were meant to be safe. Then came another story that would shape everything. A young girl was being molested by her uncle while at church. She was overwhelmed, confused, and desperate for help. When she finally tried to speak up, she was dismissed and turned away. But God had not forgotten her. Out of nowhere, a long-time friend reached out to her with a simple message: “How are you doing?” That one message became a lifeline. She opened up, and through that connection, she was eventually connected to us.

At the time, we didn’t have a system. We didn’t have an organization. We didn’t have all the answers. But we knew we had to act. We reached out to the proper authorities. The perpetrator was arrested and is now in prison.

The young girl was able to receive mental health care, safety, and financial support to begin her healing journey. That moment changed us. We realized that this wasn’t just about helping in isolated situations—it was a calling to stand in the gap for those who feel voiceless and forgotten. We didn’t always know how to navigate these situations, but each experience taught us something new. Each step of obedience became a pathway. And each story paved the way for the next person to receive help.

That is how Jireh began. Today, Jireh exists to provide what so many never had—a safe place, real support, and a path to restoration. We are committed to helping vulnerable women and children find freedom, healing, and identity again emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

Because we believe: No one should suffer in silence. No child should be ignored. And every life is worth fighting for. Jireh—God will provide. And through Him, we will be part of that provision.
